2026 filing-season deadline: Monday, February 1, 2027.
Form 1099-NEC is due January 31, moved to the next business day when that date falls on a weekend or legal holiday — for 2026 forms, the federal filing and furnishing deadline under the official instructions. State and local requirements can differ. Source: Instructions for Forms 1099-MISC and 1099-NEC (Rev. December 2026).
PaycheckVista prepares only the recipient copy of Form 1099-NEC (Copy B). It does not produce Copy A and does not file anything with the IRS. Preparing a copy here does not by itself meet the payer's filing obligation.

Before you start
This tool is for payers and authorized preparers
It prepares the recipient copy — Copy B — of Form 1099-NEC for a business that made the payments, or for someone that business has authorized to prepare it.
PaycheckVista does not decide whether a worker has to receive a 1099-NEC, and does not decide whether someone is an employee or an independent contractor. That determination stays with you and your advisers.
PaycheckVista does not file Copy A with the IRS, and never produces Copy A at all. A Copy A downloaded from the IRS website is not scannable and must not be filed on paper — the IRS states a penalty may be imposed. Order official scannable forms at IRS.gov/orderforms or file electronically, for example through IRIS where it applies to you.
Every figure comes from your own accounting and payment records. PaycheckVista prints exactly what you type. It calculates no amount, checks nothing against any record, and is not tax or legal advice.
What you type stays in this browser tab. Nothing is uploaded, emailed or stored.
Filing with the IRS
The IRS states that Copy A downloaded from its website must not be printed and filed — a penalty may be imposed. Order official forms at irs.gov/orderforms or e-file. Confirm current requirements at irs.gov. This tool is a convenience form filler, not tax advice.

Preparing the 1099-NEC recipient copy
How to prepare a 1099-NEC here
Enter the payer and recipient details, the nonemployee compensation amount and any federal or state withholding for the tax year. Your entries are placed onto the IRS form layout in your browser, and after payment the finished PDF is flattened so the values can no longer be edited.
Which copy you receive
The PDF contains the recipient copy only — Copy B, the copy the contractor keeps for their own return. Copy A, the copy submitted to the IRS, is never produced here.
Filing is separate and stays with you
PaycheckVista does not transmit anything to the IRS. Order official forms from irs.gov/orderforms or e-file yourself. The IRS states that Copy A downloaded from its website must not be printed and filed.
What this tool is not
It is a convenience form filler for the recipient copy, built from the figures you supply. It is not tax advice, the output is not government-issued, and PaycheckVista does not verify payments, identity or contractor status.
1099-NEC generator questions
Which copy you receive, what stays your responsibility, and how the finished PDF is generated in your browser.
Which 1099-NEC copy does the PDF contain?
+
Recipient Copy B only. Copy A is never generated, so this tool cannot be used for the IRS submission.
Does PaycheckVista file the 1099-NEC with the IRS?
+
No. Nothing is transmitted to the IRS. You prepare and download the recipient copy here and handle any filing separately.
Can the finished 1099-NEC still be edited?
+
No. The purchased PDF is flattened, so the values are part of the page rather than editable form fields.
How is the finished PDF delivered?
+
It is not delivered — it is created. After a successful payment the official form is filled and flattened inside the same browser tab you were working in, and you download or print it from there. Nothing is emailed and no download link exists.
Is this a subscription?
+
No. Each finished document is a single $7.99 payment. There is no recurring charge, no automatic renewal and no stored card on your side of the product.
Is my information stored?
+
No. Your tax-form entries remain temporarily in this browser tab and are not sent with your payment. PaycheckVista stores your purchase entitlement, but not your tax-form answers or completed PDF. Your document is generated locally after payment. Save it securely because PaycheckVista cannot recover it after you clear or leave the page.
What does my receipt email contain?
+
Only the product purchased, the amount, the date and a link back to the generator. It never contains your completed PDF, your form answers, a name or address from the form, an SSN or EIN, any wage amount, or a link that could recover the document.
Does PaycheckVista verify the information I enter?
+
No. You supply every figure and you are responsible for its accuracy. PaycheckVista does not verify employment, income or identity, and the document is not government-issued.
